IE problems

About a week ago i did a msconfig. I restarted my computer and now IE is acting up i can't download anything it gets t the point of saving it and locks up.
so i thought i would reinstall the sp1 edition bt it didn't work.
Does anyone know the comand that you type into the run box to install it back of the xp cd. any help would be greatfull

do a search in this forum about reinstalling ie or search the web, jist of it is u need to change a registry key first so winblows doesnt think ie is installed or it wont let u reinstall it, once u change this u can download ie6 sp1 from microsucks site and reinstall and dont play with msconfig if u dont kno what ur doing especially the boot file settings and editor like boot.ini, win.ini etc
