build compatible?

could someone tell me if all these parts are compatible with each other.
CPU - AMD XP 2400+ RETAIL BOX (THOROUGHBRED)

MoBo - Abit NF7-M, Nforce2, 266/333FSB, Dual DDR400, AGP 8x, Onboard Geforce4MX, Abit SoftMenu

RAM - 256mb DDR RAM PC-3500 KINGMAX 433mhz Super Ram Cas 2.5

HDD - Maxtor DIAMOND MAX PLUS 9 80.0GB 7200rpm ATA-133, 8MB CACHE, FLUID BEARING MOTOR

It IS compatible, but, I have a few thing to say.

The 2400+ FSB speed is only 266MHz. Don't sell yourself short.

Go for the 2500+. A few dollars more, but you'll get a 333MHz FSB

Then instead of PC 3500, Buy PC 2700 or PC 3200 RAM. You should be able to get more MB of RAM for the money. PC2700 runs at 333MHz and PC 3200 runs at 400MHz, respectivly.

If you're planning to use the on-board video, you'll want more RAM. Even if you're going to get a video card, 256MB of RAM is just not enough, in my opinion.

well.. what kind of system are you going for? because a 2400 might be all that he needs considering it runs faster, if he's using it for office work, it would be the smarter idea

its going to be for gaming, not hardcore gaming jus some games.
i was planing to use the onboard video and was saving up for a
"GE-CUBE GC-R96XTG-C3-EXTREME ATI Radeon 9600 XT 128MB EXTREME"

i will get the 2500+ its only a couple bucks extra.

is a "512mb DDR RAM PC-3200 KINGSTON 400mhz CAS-3" alright because i might get that.

That choice of RAM sounds a lot better. I think you'll be a lot happier with that.

As a side note, a 2500+ runs at 166MHz (FSB)*11(multiplier)=1826MHz

You should be able to go 200MHz(FSB) * 9(multiplier)=1800MHz. This will enable you to utilize the full 400MHz of your RAM.
It's a slightly slower clock speed but a faster Front Side Bus is well worth it in my opinion.
