Video Card not working!!!!

I got a Radeon X1600 and am having trouble getting it to work. I put it into what i'm sure is the pci express slot but when i start up my computer i don't get a signal to my monitor. I have the dvi cable plugged into my monitor and my new video card. And when i start my computer i notice my fan on my video card isn't even running. What am i doing wrong?!

My motherboard is a radeon xpress 200 which i'm pretty sure supports PCI-E X16

radeon xpress 200 is not a motherboard, its videocard.

I'm not to sure about yours, but newer video cards might need to have a direct supply of power from the psu.

If you have integrate graphics, you might need to disable it from the bios.

What motherboard do you have?

Also, try resetting your BIOS.

maybe your video card is not properly slotted into your motherboard.
