I am building this new PC to be able to better multi-task, process a lot of data (tasks that can take several days of 100% load on CPU), and at the same time run smoothly the latest games because it is part of my job as a vido game developer. Here is what I've put up together so far, however with so much new technology coming up I am far from being sure of buying this, so I need suggestions and comments.
MoBo - SuperMicro H8DCi
CPUs (will buy 2 of them) - AMD Dual-Core Opteron 270
Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 200GB
RAM - Looking for 2Gb DDR 400 under $200. Suggestions needed.
GPU(s) - Need suggestions - have approx $600 for that.
PSU - Need suggestions.
Cooling - Looking at water cooling but don't know how to choose it. (Btw you forgot to include cooling in your Sticky on buying parts)
Case - Need info on what parameters should I look for when choosing it.
Keeping in mind that this is the first time I am building a PC so if you are to comment/help please break it down to basics for me.
