confused...no display on boot

first build, everything went according to plan. upon startup my monitor recieves no signal from the vid card yet all my fans etc. run fine. my specs:

athlon 64 4000
asus a8ne
OCZ 2gb platinum
antec 500w truepower
evga 7900gt

was hoping to be up and running by the end of this weekend any help will be muuuuuuch appreciated.

antec have only neohe/smartpower/phantom on the 500w line
which one of em do you have?

did you connect the 4pin plug to the mobo?
and what about the 6pin plug to the video card?

also, make sure that the voltage switch on the back on the PSU is set to 110v not 220v

sorry it is the smartpower...just took mobo out of case to see if it was shorting to it...but no such luck. any suggestions? im startin to get a little freaked out...

did you connect the 4pin plug to the mobo?
and what about the 6pin plug to the video card?

if you did connect em then you probably got the mobo DOA , a good mobo will beep without ram..

could it possibly be that the ocz memory is incompatible with my mobo? also...i know im newb but i can not find the system speaker wire on my case (tsunami dream)...id be able to narrow it down better with it but im not sure what is goin on.

or is it a possible psu issue?
