Hi folks,

I'm finally updating my cpu and was wondering if anyone could provide some input as to whether the power supply I currently have will do the trick.

I'm not a big gamer so what I had/have is nothing too fancy. Oh, yeah, and I don't plan on overclocking just yet ;)

Specs are as follows:

Old rig:

Mobo - Epox 8KHA+
Cpu - Athlon XP-1800
Video Card - Geforce - MX 400 (64Mb)
Mem - PC 2100, 512 Mb
Your basic CDRW drive
HD - 40 gig

Basically, my upgrades are:

New mobo - Asus A8N5X (939)
Cpu - Athlon 64 - 3200
Mem - PC 3200, 2X512 Mb
Video Card - (same for now...hold the jokes, please!)
Added DVDRW drive
HD - same

Power supply:

Old reliable: Enermax EG301P - 300W. Four years -- no problems.

yaeh....i wouldnt risk it dude. just get an Antec SmartPower, and you should be fine for a while.

yeah get a new psu...

when u get that mobo is the graphics card the same kind of slot?

if it isnt make sure u get a pci-E not agp
