DVD burner

hi guys..
wat do you think of LG 4082B 8X DVD+/-R / 4X DVD+/-RW Black OEM $147(CAN).
is it good??
I mean the quality of the burner.
also is there any particular burner that you can suggest me?
I chose LG cuz it was cheaper than the other brand.

Compaq/HP used LG as a part of their desktops for a while. I've never had a problem with them.

Plextor appears to be the choice of most magazines and computer builders right now. I'm sure that the LG is a good burner also. The latest PC magazine has a comparison test of a few DVD burners. I think the LG is one of the tested ones.

I personally like Sony.....but my brother has a benq cd burner and we haven't had any problems with that

I just bought an MSI DVD burner from newegg. I haven't had the chance to burn DVD's but it seems to play dvds and burn CD-R's just fine..
