Ubuntu trouble

startx still doesn't work. I get command not found.

Just plug the internet in and install the packages for now. Wireless internet is something you get configured *after* everything else is working. You need to have the internet to install those packages, so that may be why its not working.

That can be kind of difficult, I'd either have to buy a really long ethernet cable to drag up my stairs or to drill a hole through the ceiling which I doubt I would be allowed to do.

Is there any other way?

Bahhhhh, alright. I'll do that tonight or tomorrow morning. Can I have one of your guys messaging programs so once I get it hooked up I won't have to wait long intervals?

I don't have a working computer right now, so I have to use someone elses. I'll be back on all the time pretty much when I get my video card from eVGA. Hopefully they will ship it tomorrow.
