Ram problems

I bought 1 GB (2 X 512) of Corsair XMS CL2. In a 1:1 ratio I can get 50MHz out of these sticks. When I set it to run at a divider, as soon as I put the ram 1MHz over it doesn't post. What the **** is going on here???

I tried lowering the ram to 100MHz then putting the HT at 250...no post.

Ok so I returned them and picked up a stick of OCZ gold gx xtc (1GB). Now the ****ing thing won't even post. If I put the value select ram with the ocz gold it posts but restarts going into windows. What the **** is going on?

Maybe it's just bad ram that you got?

Turns out it was. I took them both back and I'm never shopping at that place again. Microbytes is known for shitty parts. What a waste of time.
