need short cd drive for x-qpack plz help!!

okay i just put my new x-qpack build together, and my new dvd drive doesn't fit. the new drive needs to be exactly 6 inches or shorter. i dont care whether its a dvd burner or not, i just need a cd drive!!! i would extremely appreciate any help as im kinda busy installing windows and stuff, with my dvd drive sitting on top of the case

... well I got my friend that for his build, and we managed to shove a dvd drive in the top slot. If it's a DVD burner you have then there's no need for another optical drive...

i have a hiper 580 watt and it all gets in the way... i can shove the drive in pretty close, but then the IDE cable is hitting the psu, and i have about 1/3 inch left to push the drive in

Look at the specs on the Plextor 740a. It is much shorter than most DVD drives and the best on the market. It is a little pricy though.

Seems like a waste of money given that it is not a writeable drive.
CD/dvd rom only.

ok kewl i just found this adapter on ebay that lets u put two slim drives into one 5.25" drive. this looks pretty good.
