Turn your Hibernation mode off and turn your screen saver off as well...

You can turn the Hibernation mode off in the power options I believe.

Yes, to follow up:

Right click anywhere on the desktop except an icon. Click properties, follow to screen saver tab, then click Power or Power options button. Disable all standby and hibernation modes.

Hmm, thats the same problem I have, although its not when it goes into standby (Dell Inspiron 6000) especially when I close the lid on it come back the power lamp is pulsating, open it up, pops on out of standby but the screen will not turn on and it needs a reboot. I will try stopping standby, but it would be useful to use standby to stop her running as it gets pretty hot!
