Reformatting HD

i would agree, if you dont have many programs id reformat, but if you dont need to i wouldnt as you may have the hassle of reactivating your software etc, so it may be worth more hassle, but it depends if u wana, takes me around and hour to reformat install os and put software back on


i use 'my drivers' program to copy and back up all drivers on my comp, then just download the programs i want before reformat to make sure i have them ready!

try "ccleaner" its a general cleanup program that amongst other things can clean up the registry. the only problem with formatting a laptop is the number of proprietary parts they use. its a lot better now but in the past it could be near impossible installing windows on a laptop without the manufacturers disc
