New CPU

Im going to upgrade my gaming computer starting with the cpu, should i get an fx-57 or fx-60, or is it worth waiting for something new to come out.

Conisdering you have Socket 939 the FX60 Is your best bet.

Indeed best bet for you is FX60 on socket 939, the question is when the new chips are out [not speaking of conroe, but in general, lots of things suppose to come out in two months time] will you be able to upgrade you'r whole rig? because you could get better chips for cheaper in two months.....

I probly should just start a new rig, my mobo is trash and i still havn't gotten a decent power supply. Alright I guess i'll spend some money now on a new monitor, i could never bring myslef to buy a new one when i know i could be getting more performance instead... the one i have now is 8+ years old, with quite a bit of duct tape on it.
