Had some bad experiences some time ago with shrink wrap software. Symantec destroyed the computer, had to reformat c:\. Once I did that t hen I transitioned off all Symantec software. Fix-It Utilities, my repalcement for Norton couldn't deal with some of the files that I had around. Since then I have gotten the relgion on freeware and since then I have had no problem with anything. Freeware has kept my computer humming like new for many moons now. I have CCleaner, AM Deadlink, Atomic Clock, Cryptainer, Deeper Burner (a recent add), Farber Toys, KH Blocker, Size Me, Sea Monkey (like Firefox) and Registry Cleaners. Now for the question: In terms of keeping a Windows XP PC humming, what you you recommend adding to this list?
