Fixing Firefox memory leak

I came across this the other day and went ahead and used it.

I haven't been monitoring my mem usage, but FF seems to be operating better since.

hmm that helped a bit but i found a few of the fixes couldnt be done

Found another fix. I went ahead and implimented it, but am now running with 2 gig of RAM, so I wouldn't notice anyway.

Here's a link to the page where the guy explains what to do... it's very simple, and you get to define how much RAM FF can use.

Scroll down to the paragraph that begins with "Firefox has a special settings screen called about:config." From there he details what to do.

i dont seem to have had a problem at any point with it =/

My FF has been acting up lately - freezing etc. I'll give this a try.

I'll try it. I've got 2gb RAM so I don't have problems. I just don't like how much memory it uses.
