RAM $$$ going up ?? :(

I noticed the Ram on newegg and everywhere, the price goes up really fast. It was 81 bucks a month ago, and now it is 104. Why? Isn't hardware supposed to get cheaper as new one come out? I am talking specifically about the Corsair 512MB Value Ram DDR400 Cas 2.5

it happened over here in australia aswell, it went up $(AUS)10 ( geil 256meg DDR400) two days ago and Im getting my ram tomorrow lost $20

Prices fluctuate often.

Just keep an eye on them. You can go to www.pricewatch.com it tells you if the price is higher or lower than normal.

If you REALLY want RAM THAT bad, just check www.ebay.com

You will find LOTS of good buys there on RAM, and even other PC components, such as VERY powerful video cards for pretty cheap prices.

If Ebay doesnt do anything good for ya, check www.pricewatch.com They have some good prices on RAM there also......

i just bought some muskit 512 DDR400 for $89 and like 2 days later the price shot up to $100 whew i got lucky

I believe the price is supposedly going up because of a shortage of Winbond chips

The price never went down, only up. And I looked on ebay, they only have 3 of them, and not DDR400.
