Hey guys, I have this problem with both of my dell pc's both practically new, anyways, fixed mine, however my mothers is getting the same message with this much dreaded blue screen,
I tried this fix....
chkdsk /p
and the chkdsk /r
both were not proper commands as stated in the microsoft web site, rather not fork over the cash for dell to help me again...
I have logged in in every mode possible, ran every chkdsk, loaded from a dsk i restart and still gettin this **** blue screen...you guys know of any fixes?
ThaNKS ALOT!
Brett

Can you slave the drive in your system? If you can boot it there, it might just be an MBR problem... if not, then there is the chance the disk is hosed....

reinstall windows if fixing the mbr doesn't work. that error is usually software related

I am a newb so not to sure what that means, but our harddrives are 2 different types both xp though

what do you mean 2 types? slaveing a hdd means you need to have 2 hard drives, a master and then the slave
