Background:
1. This computer is for my parents/family. My bros do a little bit of gaming, but nothing too intense like some of the folks on here.
2. Trying to keep it as budget as possible (not like they couldnt afford whatever the **** they want though)
3. I want it to be fast :)
4. Not gonna overclock anything

Here's what I got so far:

Barebone System
ASUS Vintage-AH1 AMD Socket 939 Barebone

Processor
AMD Athlon 64 3200+

RAM
OCZ Performance Series 1GB (2 x 512MB)

OPERATING SYSTEM
Microsoft Windows XP MCE

floppy
Samsung - no link needed

CD/DVD DRIVES
LITE-ON Black 16X DVD-ROM 52X CD-R LITE-ON Black 16X DVD+R

VID CARD
XFX Geforce 7300GS

HARDDRIVE
Western Digital Caviar 250GIG

Question is - you guys think there's more bang for you buck in other products?

Seems ok. I heard that that cards sucks though, might want to look into that. Everything else looks ok. I can't help you in terms of price, seeing as I have no idea what is a good deal in America.

Don't buy barebones, buy the individual parts on your own. And like others have said, the 7300 sucks for gaming, if that's what your doing. Shoot for a 7600GS at the minimum if your gaming, if your not gaming look at an integrated graphics chip.

Dude its a mini ATX and it has a crap psu in it :x umm vid card / mobo are fine i think..
