Windows says product key ain't right

Dunno RockXP. How could it help here?

I don't need any warez stuff. I work for my money, and keep my stuff legit.

I was showing him the different versions of xp so he would know why his key isn't working.


now if he was saavy enough, he can figure out which version of xp that he has, download it off of a torrent then use his serial to reinstall and the activation will go through

Some posts are from my computer, one or two from my wife's computer, and this one and maybe a couple more from work.

You don't need a key to do a repair, any Windows XP cd would work on any computer running XP.

But you would definitely need a XP Pro key to upgrade though.

a repair using the recovery console or the other repair feature because when i use the other repair feature, it always asks for the key
