I vote for this one, since i have one myself, exact same one, and it works very fast, and its a good price, $799 USD, $899 CDN.

The screen is tiny, but you get used to it. The Macintosh one does look like a good deal for the battery life, but 12" is like a DVD player...

Like I said, it isn't about the price... I am getting it for free...

I vote for this one because gateway has pretty good customer support if anything goes wrong. It is also the lightest non apple computer. Pluse you have a WXGA screen and a larger hard drive. All are pretty much on par with each other I'd say just get the one thats most appealing and versatile.

So I have like people saying 3 are the best? ...

...

size is not an issue like I said before...

You never said size isn't an issue, also just check out cnet.com about the specific models. The gateway is light has a nice clear display with one of the bigger hard drives you listed. XP HOME/PRO system is pretty much negligable when deciding for your needs. I mean these are all on par with each other once again pick one that appeals the most to you.

VAIO was going to say gateway but no battery life and to me thats the most important.. I get like 20 mins battery life on my hp and it really makes me mad when trying to type something on the go. x(

The vaio is the most expensive... at like 1,200 bucks...

Others are like 800
