Computer for video editing

I'm planning to start building one from scratch. Im a total newbie at this computer stuff but i got the bascis down and i can get it done. i wanted to know what specs of hardware do i need for editing videos. i need it fast,(what kind CPU?)lots of memory,200+hardrive, and i really dont know what kind of motherboard.(does there have to be a certain case for motherboard?) graphics card? dvd burner. Seriously if you guys can help me out by giving me examples that would be awsome. THanks
