Technically it IS NOT a recovery CD. Most OEMs supply a recovery CD that will restore your computer back to factory defaults. Many people do not like this, for whatever reason. The way it works now is that Dell will give you the normal CDs, and if you pay that extra $10 it will give you the actual Genuine CD of whatever flavor of XP you chose. I do not know if it will come with a Recovery CD as well, but it certainly worth that $10. Probably only worth about $0.50, but that's Dell for ya. :)

never heard of those guys are they any good? or do their laptops fall apart the first day?

Not to sound like a fanboy but they've totally kicked *** on every order for me and a few of my friends who've used them enough fro me to recommend them.
