Is this right?

In step no. 1 in my instruction manual it says to put the backplate of my Zalman heatsink/fan for my CPU on the backside of the mobo , I dunno it just seems backwards to me. I just wanna do my installation right and Im not sure about this, Im thinking the backplate for the heatsink should go on the frontside of the mobo, in back of the heatsink, although i very may well be wrong as Ive never done this before. I tried to post a pic, but couldnt get it small enough, sorry guys.

keyword: backplate. it goes on the back of the motherboard to brace the weight of the heatsink off the rear of the motherboard

LOL, thank you nitestick I had a feeling someone would respond like you. I had a feeling it was a dumb question, but had to make sure. Truth be told, I was reading reviews of my fan at newegg and one reviewer mentioned that that part of the manual had had it backwards, so I had to make sure before I started my installation, since I didnt want to F it up. But thanks for making me feel dumb...

it was an honest question, not a dumb one. i know how crap the instruction manuals are. the big typhoon manual is pretty nonsensical.
