if you are going to use an ATX case why bother with an mATX motherboard? most of the time mATX isn't as fully featured as ATX and its only advantage is being small.

Well, I'm trying to build a very, very cheap PC.
Here's what I'm looking to put in it:
Athlon 3000+ s754
512mb RAM
80gb hard drive
DVD reader
...and some cheap case I can find, and some motherboard I can find. I'm looking for one that supports PCI-E, seeing as those video cards are cheaper. I'd swap to socket 939, but I can't find any cheap ones.
I wouldn't mind seeing how much I can suck out of that system though, in terms of overclocking it as much as possible. If I have cash left over, I might buy a Freezer 64 on that CPU, and a Artic Cooler 6 VGA cooler on a 6600GT.
Does a s754 OC okay?
