Internet Explorer won't open

Hi, I'm having a lot of trouble with internet explorer. I just put service pack 1 on my toshiba laptop and since then everytime I double click on IE on my desktop or if I try to open it through anything using the icon, it won't open, nothing happens.

If I go to my computer and type in an address in the address bar I can access the internet this way but it's frustrating.

I was thinking maybe it's installed twice or something?
Any help would be good!!

get mozilla or firefox first as they 500 times better than ie www.mozilla.org but since u need ie to access some sites i would just try reinstalling ie, for xp

Maybe your Icon Link is bad, Check it in properties to check its Target line.
