Going to Sli soon, How much watts?

I got a 430 watt power supply, its this exact one.

I'm going to Sli 2 7800 Gts very soon, and I've seen I need more wattage, How much should I get? Look in my sig or more details, But i've read alot about sli and ****, and relized I rather get 2 7800 gts because it a HUGE increase over the 7900 gt alone. So any help would be apperciated, By the way, thanks nitestick for helpin me out with overclocking my cpu and replying to all my posts

500w's is what Nvidia reccomends I believe. Go with around 550 though to be on the safe side. More importantly go for as many amps on a 12v line, preferably a single rail instead of dual or triple, such as this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817101008 - please note this is Tagan and not a random generic one. There is a switch on the back for split 12v's and combined 12v.

That PSU is only good for one card. Two insn't going to happen.

Try getting dual 18 amp 12v lines.

I would not reccomend running SLI in anything under 500 watts. I would personaly prefer a 600watt for SLI, but thats just me.

First of all, the SLI option is only a good idea if you have higher resolution monitores (like widescreens at least 19 inches). If you, like me, are in that position, then get a PSU with dual 12v lines. I have 1 eVGA 7800gt as well, and will eventually get another. I am using this PSU:

It works very good, and the reviews show a guy with two 7600gts without a problem. Quite and cool - you should look into it.

Sell the current 7800GT, and buy a 7900GT. Chances are you'll only end up spending little, because you should be able to sell the 7800GT for $250, and then you can buy a 7900GT (and maybe a better PSU, that current one isn't great in general) for $275-$300. A 7900GT can OC nicely, and at lower resolutions is definitely more worth a 7800GT SLI.

i got a 17 inch gateway monitor, im just getting sli for better fps obviously, im trying to get the cheapest power supply, but not one that messes up in 1 year.

thanks border for the reply, im pretty sure i just made my decision that im not going to sli, cause obviously its made for HIGH resolutions, so im gunna sell this 7800 gt and get a 7900 gtx or a 1900xtx, thanks, NEW question, 7900 gtx or 1900xtx?
