A) How many hard drive/cd-rom/dvd devices can be supported?

B) Could this board be used to support a firewire digital camera?

C) For what kind of machine (gaming, video, internet browsing, school word, etc) would this board be best suited?

D) For what kind of machine would this board be least suited? why?

E) What is the speed of the FSB?

A) "On Board IDE Channel - Support 2 X IDE Connectors for up to 4 IDE Drives"

B) No - you need to buy a firewire pci card

C) It doesnt have SATA and is for older gen P4s nor does it have a pci express or agp port so your very restricted with graphics cards. This rules out games but you can get PCI graphics cards which are fine for the odd older game, internet browsing (if you have a modem/router) and work

D) Gaming, see C

E) "Support 400M/533MHz System Bus Frequency"

Hello,

Manufacturer's product page:

It does have AGP. It was missing in your first post. You can see it in the picture...the brown slot between the PCI slots and Chipset heatsink.

So, it does have gaming potential...if you put adequate RAM in, a good graphics card and powerful enough processor.

Your P4X400DBP motherboard is the same as the P4X400DBZ model, except the P4X400DBZ motherboard has onboard FireWire.

sorry i couldnt be bothered to look at manufacturers website but that agp port will allow you to play modern games as long as you get a decent graphics card.
