I was looking to build my own computer for under $800 if possible. Any suggestions for my parts? I at least want a Nvidia 7900 Gt and a Amd Athlon 64 proccesor...
Well what exactly are you looking at getting for $800? Just the main internal components, or do you plan to include a keyboard/mouse/monitor within your budget aswell? We need a little more information to give you any good suggestions..
i wouldnt recomend getting an nvidia graphics card..there are more expensive than a ati and not half as good..i know from experience about that to..but don't and a all in wonder cause there tv tuners blow up in days and you risk getting your computer fried to...i have a aiw 9600pro and the tv tuner on it fried out in just a few weeks after purchase....

i agree, nvidia over ati. i bought an 9600 ati card a while back and i had to try 3 different driver sets from ati before i found one that worked correctly on my system. a graphics card is only as good as the drivers which support them.
Add some Arctic Silver Thermal Paste. Five bucks. It's worth it though. And here's my tip for building: Don't get confused when there's grey paste on the heatsink. Clean it off, use rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol. Then apply your own.
