Heya, can anyone recommend a really good software package to watch DVD movies on the PC? I'm tryin not to spend more then $100 (US) but if it's worth it I'll spend more.

Thanks!

CyberLink PowerDVD, if you have cash.

InterActual Player, if you dont have cash.

FYI - InterActual player is made by CyberLink, the only difference is it's not as user-friendly and "tweakable" as the PowerDVD.

the power dvd encoder on matroska pack or k-lite pack is free.

for the best viewing use a hardware decoder. if you have an nvidia video card, use nvidia pure video decoder, if you have an ati video card use vivo as they will use the hardware instead of software to decode

or buy a dvd decoder card like real magic on ebay, because they cost 300-400 but sells for 15-25 bucks on ebay.

I like free better, If its an nvidia card the hardware decoder is included on the cd and if its ati you have to use your install cd to be able to install the newest decoder It verifies you have the cd! (much better than the previous versions). Then use dvx player to play them. or nview if is nvidia or multimedia center if its ati.
