OC'ing my gpu...

So far i am not having any problems with artifacts, but i am scared my 6800gt pny might be overheating... How do i check? And what is a good temp?

download Everest Home Edition.

you have a 6 series temp so High 70's is pretty normal

Actually up until high the 80's are safe, but if it gets any higher than you're starting to risk it.

If you're having trouble cooling, buy a zalman vf-700cu or the vf-900cu.

The 700cu lower my temps around 25ºC on idle and over 30ºC on load.

What? The shutdown temp on the 6-series is 120 degrees.

i would say anything under 90 is okay, considering they have the protection for over heating in the first place for u to really do hardware damage.

Well what are your temps before you buy? Use "Everest home edition" to check

why don't you just check in your video display??? its there where your overclocking option is
