DameWare Remote Control

Our company uses "Dameware mini remote control" to access other computers on the network. Its just like Remote Desktop except the user can see what you are doing and still have total access. The problem im having is that when i try to remote in to a users computer via IP Address, it wont let me. tried on another computer on the same network and i can access the users computer but not on my local machine. Where do these settings lie that tell whether or not my actual local machine can remote into others. (local policies, group polices,server)???

there is the windows firewall, the exceptions in windows firewall and the advanced tab to allow remote users to connect to the pc
