a friend of mine is using avast when she leaves a music disk in her CD drive the system will not shut down because it says the disk is a virus and she is bed written so what do i do to fix this issue you guys all rock thanks for all the help

transfer the music on the cd to her computer, and thats it. u wont need the cd, and if it still says one of the songs has a virus just put it in quarantine.

avast won't let you shutdown with any removeable media in the drive (CD, floppy, USB memory stick).
Just simply take it out, that's all you have to do.
In most cases there is nothing wrong with it, it's just a security feature of avast where it wont shutdown without all removeable media out of there.
