I finally built my new system:
AMD X2 4400+
ASUS A8N32 Deluxe
2GB PC3200 Dual Channel ram
X-FI XtremeMusic
MSI 7900 GTX
250GB HDD WD SATA
Gigabyte 3D Aurora Case (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811233001)
Now I have a FSP Group 500 Watt PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104934)
The PSU is perfectly fine. However, I noticed my CPU fan, case fans (total of four I think) spin rather slow (approx 900 rpms)
And my CPU (Asus X-Mars, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835193002)
runs at only 2,057 RPMS (which is OK I guess).
My motherboard status:
vcore: 1.41v
+5: 4.95v
+12: 12.16v
cpu temp: 105F
mb: 107F
I was playing a game (King Kong with my nephew) and I kept getting messages popping up saying my video card was over heating. I think the temp went up to about 212F. I touched the card and it actually was so hot it burned my hand (the sensor was right).
Why would it be doing this? Could my PSU not be giving my fans enough power to run full speed (resulting in overheating)?
The system actually makes no noise. My laptop is actually LOUDER.
