XP media center compatability

I'm setting up a computer for college next year. In their guidelines, they specify that XP professional is recommended, but XP home is supported as well and service pack 2 is required for either.

I am wondering if Xp media center will be supported as well... They dont specify it as unsupported (98, ME, and 2000 it says are not)


so will xp media center be supported if xp home and professional are?

another thing, now that im looking around, could someone tell me where i can find a more detailed explaination of each of the three OSs (home prof media) most of what i can find is very vague

You should be fine with Media Center.
