6800gt or gs

is the nvidia 6800gs a better grahpics card than the gt? i run across them now and then in my search for a card, but skip over cause i don't know.

That 1000Mhz Memory Clock on the 6800GT is the effective speed. Actual speed is 500MHz.

The 6800GS is better. It will clock past what the 6800GT can overclock to, even when starting a little lower.

But overall I'd just recommend getting the 7600GT. Its $159 on newegg...

o then get the apg 6800gs and unlock the extra pipes in it to make it a 6800ultra
