What to Charge

I would charge $120. The fresh install plus all drivers and misc software he needs. Thats just me though. I would not go any less then $70. I dare him to find a better price at a PC place.

well hes my dads boss and if he likes it(price as well) then i could be looking at more freelance Computer Repair work for my dads company

Yeah. I'm not ever planning on ripping someone off whenever I do work like that. My rate's usually 25 bucks an hour. Considering I have no fancy certifications. And if you don't either, I wouldn't charge any more than 40.

Is this on top of the XP CD or is he expecting you to charge him for that as well?
I'd say for a fresh format and install about $25, 2 harddrives say $50.
But if you're doing a bit more as other people have mentioned (cleaning it up, installing drivers, antiviruses etc.) then you can charge a bit more.
