DFI aren't just for very advanced overclooking they also allow excellent upgradability in the future if you choose to do so.
From past experiences I have learnt that spending the extra cash on a DFI instead of settling for an ASUS/MSI that will just handle your specs is a lot more cost efficient and you will save in the future.

dude i agrree with you about ASUS as its not so good, but dont badmouth MSI, they make great boards, that are EXCELLENT overclockers. and almost ANY good brand board that ISNT DELL! can be upgraded in the future.

SAVE YOUR MONEY go with the MSI K8n neo4-F, and add that to spend on the 7900GT, and DEFINITELY keep the x2 3800+.

I'm not saying they're not excellent for overclocking im saying what they can handle is usually a lot less than a DFI.
If you're planning on performing a lot of upgrades in the future DFI, for me, is usually the motherboard to go with.
Simply put, the amount of upgrades possible is usually amazing with some of their motherboards.
