Hi, i have found an 80mm delta fan that used to be my old computer's heatsink fan and it has a blue, white, black and red wire which then plug into the hsf connection on the mobo. as i already have a heat sink fan plugged into my current one is there a way i can get this fan to work by changing the wires or sumthing? I really dont know anything about electrics and wiring so any help will be grateful.

Thanks

Here's my guess:

Red is hot
Black is ground
then white/blue have something to do with RPMs and heat sensors.

You should be able to hack the white/blue wires off, strip the red/black wires, and then splice them into the yellow/black on a Molex (assuming it's a 12v fan)

Red goes to yellow
Black goes to the black next to it.

But that's just my guess, might want to research it a little before you try what I suggested.

Ok thanks for your post crazed. i have had a look in quite a few places and that seems about right. ill give it a go see what happens. and yeah its a 12v fan.
