He wasn't thinking of SLIing 2 7600GTs, he was thinking of SLIing 2 7600GSs, which in his first post he said would only be $50 more than the 7600GT.

no i wasnt thinking of ram. the cards hav to b exactly the same no doubt about it. with crossfire u can hav 2 different cards not SLi.

SLI is ONLY worth it when you are running games or 3d intensive apps on huge resolutions with lots of AA and AF. A 7900GT can pretty much take anything maxed out on 1280x1024, anything the 7900GT can't do, the 7900GTX definitely can.

a 7900 gt can't do everything on 1280... almost everything... but some games... (quake 4 on ultra settings.. requires 512 mb) it just won't do.....graw is another one on 1280.. well it still looks smooth gets about 30-40 fps.. well i guess thats still good.. but i'm planning on getting another one anyway..

anywho.. enough putting down my video card!! the 7900gt will do almost anything for you.. i recommend it!

You guys are obviously not reading the first post. Nowhere in it does he say he has the money for a 7900GT. He says either a 7600GT, 2 7600GS, or 2 6800XT, or even 2 6600s. Please stop recommending something that this person hasn't listed as a choice..

Yep...it's a no brainer unless you want to out geek the other geeks at the LAN party. Make sure your case lights up like a Christmass tree so your fellow geeks will go....................0000000000000000000000000000000!!!
