well if its a 6xxx series card then 80C is OK...not great but its OK...


if the 7 series, yeah its a tad hot I would say

doesn't seem loud to me but that house fan drowns out everything:p

really though it appears pretty reasonable.

o.k i got it off and replaced it with a zalman but my monitor won't come back on. hooked everything up right and the fan works but no monitor. even reseated the card a couple of times. any thoughts?

did the artic silver 5 thing and now my monitor is black again. i'm ready to blow the whole mess up it up!
 
check evreything, you fixed it the last time so you either

A. did the same thing

B. did somthing else along the same lines

C. Completly screwed up your VGA...

no, not posting. all i did before was reseat the card. unplug and replug mouse into diffferent usb port, unplug and replug keyboard connector, change fan connector from 5v to 12v. when i put the card in pc booted up and ran all day. i left for an hour and when i got home screen was blank again. friend is bringing over another video card to try.
 
Your friends card is going to work, unless he fries it on the way over. Try your card after you seat his don't install any drivers btw. Sometimes that works.
