You'll have to beakdown the case. Not exactly what you wanted to hear but It would be wise to take it to a laptop pro. Splitting the case of any laptop is quriky and can be disasterous if you do not have the experience and correct tools!!!
I have a Desknote A928 which the Cmos battery is dead in (looses time/date when unplugged). You mentioned in one of your posts to crack the case ...is it really that hard (I do a lot of work with server class systems). I attempted to repair the melted plug issue and realized that was beyond my abilities..is this as technical as that?
I'm in Boston - care to recommend a shop to do the work locally - I hate to send the unit to the west coast for a battery.
