Compueter choices in need.

Hey I am new to these forums and new to getting a loaded computer. But to get a nice computer I need to know what exactly is best and what would work for todays games and future one's alike. From reading this forum abit I have seen that lots here KNOW what they are talking about so I thought why not ask here.

Im basicly wondering on some diffrences, like for example should I stick with amd dual core or go amd single core, and what is the big diffrence between amd 3800+ x2 compared to amd 4200+ x2? Also for future and current high demanding games is it pretty good to stick with dual core or get a single core 3700?

Lastly if I do go single core what is the major diffrence between a amd 3700 and a amd 3500 amd 64 proccesor, and is a 4000+ single core processor better then 2x 3800? Anyways here is my spec that I have customized.

I really want to stay under $1,500.00 if I can help it, also I have heard this motherboard is ok...is it any good or do you recommend something diffrent? Would having 2x 7900GT's be ALOT better then having just 1? Ok I think that is all the questions I have . Any answers I can get and extra tips would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks.

there really isn't much of a difference between the x2 3800+ and the x2 4200+. in single threaded applications (most games) the 4000+ will beat an x2 3800+ but it has no chance in multi-threaded apps. the x2 3800+ is 2x3200+ cores on a single chip. there is not a worth while increase if you use 2x7900gt's.

Hmm but for future released games would having a dual core be better then a single? Overall want to make a right choice to run games like for example the upcoming Prey game or the future next years bioshock with not to much trouble.

i always reccomend dual core as the x2 3800+ has more than enough power on one core to run any game without a problem.

I dont think we will really see dual cores shine until more games and application are made to take anvantage of multithreading.

Anyhoo where was I....oh yes, thanks for the info, I appreciate it far more then you know. I will be getting this system next week so I am happy to recieve any additional info you guys in this forum have concerning my current spec and what would you CHANGE about it. Anyway thanks again, it is appreciated, and more info will be appreciated further on how you would change my build to make it better without upping th price all to much.
