This is making me tick

Well i cant burn anything for some weird reason so i know its got something to do with windows so i reinstalled it today and i jsut tried with Nero,Windows Media,itunes and i keep getting the same freaking error does anyone know what it means and know how to fix it?

"The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occured (4000)."

Maybe your burner is just too old, and it doesn't work anymore. If you want us to help, provide us more information.

no its not thats its only a year old is NEC DVD Burner.

Have you recently tried using a different kind of burnable media? Sometimes, burners aren't compatible with certain brands/types of media.

yea but i use the same stuff taht worked before this new install of windows, my old hdd got screwed finally a few months later a new one and now windows wont burn anything .
