K now nitestick has told me what stepping is, its a number on ur CPU that indicates when its made or w/e, now how am i supposed to interpret those numbers? which numbers are better ( generally) and why?

Well all i know is the second line it has lets say

CCBWE 0540

The CCBWE is i really dont know. But the 05 is what year it was made in, and the 40 is what week it was made in :D Lol that's as far as i can get.

YOu really cant really see if its good or bad for overclocking just by using the stepping. Anyways most people look for the week. Usually earlier is better yet there are some duds in those packs.

Stepping indicates the processor core revision (most importantly), sort of like a patch version number.
The higher the stepping code the newer the revision.

How this affects overclocking I don't know but its easy enough to imagine that some steppings might OC better than others.
