thinkin about gettin a new card

im still stuck with agp.... so i was thinking about getting a eVGA Geforce 7800GS..
i gotta amd64 3200+ , and a gig of ram(PC 3200).

with those specs. will i be able to run oblivion easily?

not it will not be able to run oblivion ezly, not on high settings anywayz, you can probably have some luck on medium, but not full out medium settings.

you will probably run it at medium-high but you might get minor-medium lag on highest settings. also the preformance depends a lot of the resolution you are planing to play on.

dude he will not be able to play it on medium-high settings, have u seen oblivion benchmarks? SLId 7900GTXs can hardly get above 40fps outdoors somewhere, i forget where exactly but it was the most demanding area.

He has 1 gig of ram which will REALLY hold you back, if u change it to 2gb dual channel it shouhld increase performance significantly.
