CD Writer and Nero Problem

Hi
when i try to install Nero-burning ROM it says
Scanning SCSI/IDE bus, but it goes on forever, so i hit cancel
and end up with an Image Recorder

am i supposed to have some other recorder too

i never faced any problem on my old machine. it installed with no problems

That indeed seems confuseing.Can you send attachments ?
There must be more to it than that.Do what you did before or set your cd drive to autorun.
Or what do you mean ?
Nero-burning ROM it says.So what does that mean ?
See if it's recognized in sysdm.

All the application is attempting to do is scan the computer to see what CD-RWs or DVD-RWs exist. If you don't let it finish then all it will come up with is an image recorder. The image recorder is basically a way to burn a CD to an image on your hard drive. It basically hasn't had enough time to recognize other devices. Are you installing from a downloaded file or from a CD? What CD or DVD burners do you have installed?

I am installing from a downloaded file, i have used it previously on another machine.
I left for a couple of minutes, but it kept on saying
"Scanning SCSI/IDE bus" in the main window, and it displayed the image recorder in a pop up window.

I have the Sony CRX230E as my CD WR.

Clean the CD.Nero Express.

i did not understand what you meant by that
i am installing from a file, not a CD

I installed Nero 6, the burn works find with it
so problem solved
