you dont have to get an LCD. you could save big money by going with a CRT. you'd get better quality too

you'd just have less space on your desk

i got my 21" trinitron flat screen CRT from www.accurateit.com for 98 bucks refurbished. it was in fantastic condition when i got it. then i scratched it on accident lol but yeah it was only 98 bucks

I don't know which store you'd trust and the ones with the info had it for more. I don't know where you live, but for me it's like 216 dollars and that's with shipping.

LG or Samsung IMO. Just bought a Samsung 740 for $210, awesome monitor IMO, 17" is plenty big for me. If you can wait, then do so, because I'd wait for the video cards and HDTV LCD's with HDMI support.
