grahics card fan

here's something else i don't know. does the cooler fan on the nvidia geforce 6600gt graphics card run all the time or does it come on when the temperature rises. i opened my case to clean out the dust and noticed the fan on the grahpics card wasn't spinning.

That fan should always spin, not at full speed, but it should always be moving. It speeds up when the card starts getting hotter (under load). It might just be dust clogging it up, clean it out and it should be fine. If that doesn't help, you will definitely have to buy a replacement!
