Windows Defrag?

Sorry - I cancelled that download, don't like that site at all, really sorry and thank you for all your help, but I will leave as is. The degrag file is in System 32, and even if the Shortcut was deleted, it would make no difference as the file is still there.

Well I like options as to where my download is going, it did not give me that, and there was also a site attached to it that opened on its own with unpleasant content which I do not want to access.......

Thanks - but we are getting right away from my original question and what I want to achieve here. I went back to check that site, and the added site was certainly not my scene. I would not even write here what the heading was. Have you checked i? and there is a cost also. I don't mind paying for software, but as I said, it is far away from my original question.

It is free to download from both sites, only choose the paying option if you need to download mulitple files at the same time. I dont know what else to tell you but uninstall the software and see what happens. I've downloaded both of those files and receive to porn so I'm not sure whats going on down at your end.

I will leave the defrag question now, as I think I have had enough of your valuable time.
The defrag showing in C:\Windows\system32 is Diskeeper anyway, so I think you are right, the Windows default defrager was uninstalled when I first downloaded Diskeeper....pity, one learns as one goes along, but I should have stuck with the Windows defrager. Thanks again for your time.

I beleve the company that makes diskeeper also made XP defrager. O&O is the best.......I check them every now and then but I get so many I dont answer them all

Well that's not much good, why show an invitation for us to contact you if you don't respond? My message was not about defrager. Your right about who made what, but it is around the other way, Diskeeper took most of Windows defrager and then decided to charge for it. I found this out too late, but only use O & O now. There is still a better one than O & O, but it costs.
