CPU
I might be looking for a cheaper CPU because this will more than fufill my need right now (wont it?)

Motherboard
Ive heard good things about this mother board what do you think?

Memory
Pretty good price for 2gb memory?

Graphics card
That PNY graphics card is a dam good price for dam good performance isnt it? Anyone have anything to say about it?

Hard drive
Wanted a lot of storage for a cheap price.

Optical drive
I looked up optical drives and that NEC is suppose to be the best of the best and its a nice price.

Case
Not to sure about the case just yet because of the included PSU. SHould I be worried. I would appreciate an answer from someone who actually looked in to something like this or has personal experience.

Monitor
Still looking around for one.

Speakers
Good price for good speakers?

Floppy drive / media reader
Wanted a cheap media reader and it came with a floppy drive, cool!

Does anyone see anything that I should change? Help me out hear guys.
Anything that would help me lower the price would be great.

that mobo, the msi is $97 at Canada computers.

the x2 3800+ is $349 at R.O.T Computers, and Filtech Computers

the NEC 3550A is $46 at Filtech Computers

That looks like a really good build. If you're not too sure about the case have a look at the thermaltake tsunami, i recommend this a lot. I would stick with the x2 3800+ because games will soon be using dual core so you will need this if you want to play them. I think the rest of it is pretty good.

Haha man John i need to get down there to Toronto to check those stores out. I might have said this already lol but thanks.

oh come on.......its not that far....maybe 20 mins on the bus......but u save quite a bit of money you can blow on a good monitor.

very true john i do need a nice monitor. I think i might head up there thsi weekend.

Thanks mental ill have to check out your case.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can reduce the price and at the same time keep a slightly high end machine?

-Remember that case is fairly small, so kinda hard to work in. I am limited in what CPU hs/f will fit in my Sonata.

-The 7900gt is a must.

-To save money:
The processor could be reduced to like a 3700 single core. As well, u could go with 1GB of ram now, and add another later...

You could also get cheaper speakers and dump the floppy, theres a good chance youll never use its anyways.

-The ram price looks good.

-I'd rec an Evga 7900gt, just due to its reliable name, but its up to you:

is that website you linked to...reliable? Have you ever bought anything from them? There prices are all lower than NCIX so i might buy from them if i dont buy in stores.
